SPONSORSHIP

Although the course prices are already very affordable, in 2019 Kinarmonik set up a sponsorship system which allows the most disadvantaged young people to take the courses for free.

This sponsorship system had a significant impact, not only in making music accessible to all, but also in strengthening the community of the center. Attendance increased considerably, and the young people took ownership of the place with unexpected enthusiasm. Unlimited access to classes allowed them to develop a work discipline, and they naturally began to get involved in the daily life and logistics of Kinarmonik.

During the work on the recording studio, everyone wanted to contribute: Andrault took care of the painting, while Paulin, Leah and Jephté made the sound panels.

Today, 25 young musicians benefit from this sponsorship, helping to make Kinarmonik a true hotbed of creativity and solidarity.

WHAT IS SPONSORSHIP?

Sponsoring a musician means offering them the opportunity to follow the complete training of the training center, unlimited for one year, to which is added personalized monitoring from the teaching team.

Musicians are selected by the team based on their motivation and financial situation.

THE SPONSORS

The young people sponsored within Kinarmonik have formed what they call their “Kinarmonik family,” and this community spirit also extends to the sponsors.

Often artists themselves, these mentors have created a dynamic network where artistic collaborations have emerged, fueled by a spirit of solidarity and sharing of ideas.

The bond between young people and their sponsors is strengthened thanks to social networks, which facilitate regular and direct exchanges.

In 2020, this connection even crossed borders: Denise Popoff, one of the godmothers, traveled to Kinshasa to meet her godchildren in person, testifying to the profound and lasting impact of these relationships.
