KINARMONIK STUDIO

Eric Malu-Malu & François Gouverneur at Studio Gouv. at Paris.

In 2019, encouraged by the success of the training center's "everything on site", the musicians expressed the wish to can also save their musical projects in the same place.

The recording studio becomes a necessity and the logical continuity of the professionalization process put in place.

Recording as many activities as possible (jam, concert, rehearsal) makes it possible to create a "Kinarmonik sound", a musical identity and to develop the KINARMONIK PRODUCTION Label.

For a year, François Gouverneur (Studio Gouv.) trained Eric as a sound engineer, and also gave us some of the equipment and valuable advice. .

On August 20, 2020, the Kinarmonik studio officially opened its doors and has since welcomed many musicians and groups who have come to record their album, model or title; Blanche de La Taste, Arobase & Biakudja, Nelly & Madiba, Jupiter & Okwess and many other artists.

The Kinarmonik studio is also a job creator, in 2020 the French singer Blanche DLT came to record her album and recruit 5 Congolese musicians locally.

"I met Eric before the Kinarmonik studio existed. The day he told me about his project, I knew that I wanted to record my album there and yet the place did not exist! A studio, it's not a place, it's a state of mind..." Blanche DLT

In 2020, after 2 years of training at the center, Leah Mbuyamba, Linda Tombo, Jephté Lubungu and Tychick Sulutemo realize their dream: to create their own group! Les Yotsi (star in Kimongo) want to stand out, and it starts with the structure of the group: two musicians / two musicians!

Their artistic approach is innovative, all authors / composers / rices address committed themes and are in Lingala, Tshiluba, Swahili, Kimongo and Kikongo.

For the music, they are inspired by the traditional rhythms of the DRC, but also by jazz, funk and rock.

February 2023 marks the start of a new adventure, they are recording their first album! Here too they stand out, 11 tracks to establish their musical identity and tell a story. On these titles, 11 guests, Congolese, French, Macedonian and American musicians.

A first album mixed by Kinarmonik's godfather, Yarol POUPAUD and produced by Kinarmonik Production.

KINIVRY  2022

KinIvry is project collaborative between two cities Kinshasa and Ivry sur Seine (France). Initiated by Elodie DESPRÈS, French teacher at Henri Wallon College and Eric Malu-Malu, the project each year offers a class of Elodie to write a poem and young musicians from the Center to compose music.

For the first edition of KinIvry, a 3rd grade class recorded their poem at Studio Le Hangar in Ivry.

The music was recorded at Kinarmonik studio.

An enriching experience for young people from both countries for whom recording in the studio was a first that they all appreciated.

The clip was made from filmed images of the two cities ...
